New: Screenshot Awareness Consent in the New Shop

You can now show a Screenshot Awareness message when customers enter your shop, helping set clear expectations around image protection.

Before browsing, shoppers will see a short notice explaining that photos are protected and that capturing images (e.g. screenshots) may violate copyright. They can then continue seamlessly by clicking “Agree & Continue.”

This update helps reduce confusion when protections are triggered, improves transparency, and raises awareness—especially on mobile, where technical protection is more limited.

The feature is available behind a feature flag and can be enabled for you on request.

Improvements & Enhancements

Updated Watermarks for Stronger Image Protection

We’ve improved how watermarks work across the platform to better protect your images online.

As technology evolves, so do the risks around image misuse. This update strengthens one of the key layers of protection, helping you feel more confident when sharing galleries with your customers.

It’s part of our ongoing effort to keep your work protected and ensure your images are protected in a constantly changing digital landscape. The update is live now.

Global Access Code Now Available in the New Shop

You can now use Global Access Codes in the new shop—ideal for events and making it easy for schools and organizations to access all student photos in one place.

This feature allows authorized users, like school directors or principals, to view photos across a full job quickly and securely—without needing individual access codes.

It’s a widely used feature and an important step in bringing more core workflows into the new shop. Now live and ready to use!

Edit Items Directly in Cart in the New Shop

You can now edit items directly in the cart—no need to remove and re-add them.

Shoppers can update quantities, crops, backgrounds, and personalization text directly during checkout. Changes can be easily applied or canceled, keeping the flow smooth and uninterrupted.

This update makes the checkout experience faster and more flexible, helping reduce abandoned carts and making it easier for your customers to complete their orders.

It’s live now in the new shop.

QR Tagging Registration Now in the New Shop Per Request

You can now collect subject and child data before picture day directly in the new shop—no more redirects to the old registration flow.

This update brings a more modern, seamless registration experience that’s fully integrated into the new shop. It helps you streamline your setup, reduce dependencies on the old system, and prepare for picture day more efficiently.

The feature can be enabled for you on request.

Clearer Guardrails UI for Prepay & Proofing

We’ve improved the Guardrails interface to make job setup clearer and easier to navigate.

You’ll now see clear status indicators showing what’s valid and what needs attention, along with a more consistent layout and updated action buttons like “Select” and “Review.” Missing or invalid settings are grouped at the top, so you can quickly spot and fix them.

These updates help you move through setup with more confidence, reduce confusion when switching between job types, and make it easier to get everything ready to go.

The update is live now for all photographers using Guardrails.

New Export: Pixnub EZ Composites

You can now export your data for Pixnub EZ Composites with just one click.

This new export generates a Pixnub-ready CSV file (EZCOMP format) using your existing job grouping (class or team)—no setup or manual formatting required. It’s designed to simplify your workflow and help you prepare composites faster, without relying on external tools.

This is especially useful if you’re currently creating Pixnub files manually or using third-party tools. Now, everything is built directly into GotPhoto.

The feature is live now and ready to streamline your composite workflow.

Invoice Payment Matching Now Live

We’ve updated how your payments are tracked to give you a clearer and more transparent billing experience.

Instead of a running account balance, each payment is now matched to a specific invoice. This means every invoice stands on its own—unpaid amounts will no longer roll over into future invoices.

You’ll notice that your invoices now only reflect charges for that specific period. For example, your March invoice only includes March charges—it won’t include anything from February. Paying one invoice does not settle another.

This change makes it easier for you to understand, track, and manage your payments—while reducing confusion and improving reliability across billing.

Lightroom Upload Plugin 3.0.5 – More Reliable Uploads

The Lightroom Upload Plugin has been updated to version 3.0.5, bringing a more stable and reliable upload experience.

Uploads are now powered by our latest upload infrastructure, helping reduce interruptions and making it easier to handle large or complex jobs. This also ensures the plugin stays aligned with ongoing platform improvements and allows faster troubleshooting if issues arise.

All you need to do is update to the latest version to benefit from these improvements.

EasyUpload 3.8.3 – Album Creation Bug Fixed

We’ve released EasyUpload 3.8.3, fixing an issue where you might have seen an “Album creation failed” error when dragging and dropping folders into a job.

Previously, this could require restarting EasyUpload before uploads worked correctly. With this update, folder uploads and album creation now run smoothly—no more interruptions or repeated attempts.

The fix is live now and will be available automatically on your next launch.
