Student Data Export Templates Now Available
You can now save your Student Data Export settings as a template and reuse them across every job in your account.
Start from a built-in PSPA or Custom starter template, then duplicate, edit, rename or delete your own templates as your needs change. Need a one-off change for a single school? Adjust that export without touching the saved template.
Building the same export over and over adds up fast when you manage dozens or hundreds of jobs a season. Templates remove that repetitive setup, keep your exports consistent, and get your data out in just a few clicks.
Student Data Export Templates are live now.

Improvements & Enhancements
The New GotPhoto Online Shop Is Now the Default
All jobs now open in the new GotPhoto online shop by default, including jobs that use One Access Code.
Jobs already set up for the new shop aren’t affected. Jobs using a Public Access Code continue to open in the classic shop for now.
This is the last part of our move away from the classic shop, so more of your customers get the new shopping experience. The change is live in all markets.

Cropping and Culling Now Available at Upload
We’ve added Cropping and Culling to the Editing at Upload Bundle. Together with Color Correction, these AI-powered services get your photos ready to sell after upload and gallery activation, saving you up to 80% of your editing time.
Culling runs first and hides images that are unlikely to sell, such as photos with closed eyes, no person detected, soft focus, or images that are too bright or too dark. Nothing is deleted: culled images are only hidden in Photo Management, you can see why each one was flagged, and you can unhide any image at any time.
Cropping then tidies each image with a Loose or Tight preset and straightens it at the same time. It’s designed for school portraits, where you often shoot a little wide in camera, and helps avoid crops so tight that images don’t fit your products.
New to the bundle? Your first 100 edits are free. After that, it’s one flat price per image, whichever services you use: an introductory price of $0.02 USD/CAD per image until October 31, then $0.04 USD/CAD per image from November 1. Cropping and Culling are live now in all markets.

Add a Handling Fee to Your Orders
You asked, we listened: you can now add a handling fee to orders in the new GotPhoto online shop.
Turn it on under the Online Shop tab in Fee Settings and choose the amount that works for your business. The fee is labeled “Handling Fee” by default, and you can rename it. Customers see that the fee applies on the product page and under package prices, and again in their cart summary before they check out.
Fee and pricing rules vary by state and province, so check the rules that apply to you before you turn it on.
Handling fees are live now in the US and Canada for photographers on paid plans. If you’re on a free plan, you’ll see the setting but will need to upgrade to turn it on.

Stronger Password Requirements
We’ve raised password requirements to better protect your account and your customers’ data.
Passwords for photographers, staff and parents in the shop must now be 12–128 characters. The old maximum length is gone, so long passwords from password managers now work.
- Photographers and staff: Passwords still need one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter and one number. If your current password is shorter than 12 characters, you’ll be asked to reset it the next time you log in.
- Parents: Existing shop passwords keep working. The new length rule applies only when a parent creates or changes a password.
Updated Basic Editing Options
Automated Basic Editing by Perfectly Clear now has a new option in the Editing tab that matches the editing applied when you upload, so your photos look the same wherever you edit them.
The original Classic Look, including its built-in skin softening, is still available as a separate choice, so your existing workflows keep working exactly as before.

Clearer Order Breakdown on the Order Overview Page
The Order Breakdown on the Order Overview page now separates Packages, À La Carte items and Downloads, making it easier to see exactly what a customer ordered.
Each package now shows its name and quantity, with its contents listed underneath. No more confusion about whether items were ordered on their own or as part of a package.

Track SMS Notifications in the Communications Performance Manager
You can now see whether each automated campaign notification was sent by SMS or email, and track the status of your SMS messages.
This gives you a clearer picture if your text messages were sent to parents. Data is available for notifications sent from September 24 onward, and more SMS performance metrics are on the way.
This update is live now for SMS users in the US and Canada.

Public API: Lab Order Details and Order Type
If you connect your own software to GotPhoto through our public API, you can now pull more order details automatically.
- Lab order details: The Get an Order endpoint now returns each associated lab order with its lab order number, status, tracking code, tracking service and tracking URL. Track production and shipping without checking each order by hand.
- Prepay or proofing: Orders now show whether they’re a prepay or proofing order, so you can calculate school commissions and track Prepay+ upsells accurately.
